DOHA: Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) has partnered with QScience to publish a book ‘Excellence and Impact of Research.’
The book will showcase the university’s research endeavours and successes in creating new knowledge for Qatar and the industry.
Dr Mark H Weichold, Dean and CEO of TAMUQ, said, “The university is engaged in research which creates new knowledge addressing the needs of Qatar and the region. Its dynamic research programme is a hub for innovation and produces outcome that are critical to Qatar’s goal of becoming a knowledge-based economy.
“TAMUQ is pleased to partner with QScience to produce this book highlighting the breadth and depth of the university’s research programme.”
Over the past decade, TAMUQ has developed a robust research programme covering engineering, pure sciences and liberal arts.
Its faculty and research groups are dedicated to discovering and creating new knowledge and devising solutions to challenges encountered by Qatar’s industrial and commercial sectors.
With the support of local partners and worldwide collaborations, TAMUQ is helping raise Qatar’s profile in the global scientific community by participating in scholarly discourses that amplifiy understanding and inspire innovation.
The book will include technical papers that reflect the significance of the university’s research expertise and how it is leveraged to support Qatar’s growth and development by fulfilling main pillars of the university’s mission such as generating new knowledge by conducting research and disseminating results and serving the needs of Qatar and the region through broad expertise.
