Dubai--Al-Jazeera welcomed Egypt's decision Sunday to deport Australia's Peter Greste after a year of imprisonment but expressed hope that two more of its journalists will also be released.

"We're pleased for Peter and his family that they are to be reunited," Mostefa Souag, acting director general of Al-Jazeera Media Network, said in a statement for the pan-Arab television network.

"We will not rest until Baher and Mohamed also regain their freedom," he added in reference to Egyptian Baher Mohamed and Canadian-Egyptian Mohamed Fahmy, jailed in Egypt along with Greste.
