Doha: RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) inaugurated a Children’s Toy Library in Anshim Social Welfare Community Centre in Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea.
Benefitting the city, Kyungbok National University Hospital and Community Chest of Korea (Daegu Branch), the library is an extension of RasGas’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes in cooperation with KOGAS, supporting students’ education globally.
A fun and creative way to engage children, a toy library similar to a book library, provides a toy loan service.
Children can borrow from a range of toys designed to support their skills development and imagination.
The library is part of a CSR initiative between both companies, agreed in 2014 to contribute to the welfare of the community in Daegu.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from RasGas’ Korean Liaison Office, KOGAS, the mayor of Dong-gu district of the city and other officials.
Last December, both companies completed and inaugurated the refurbished Moonlight Children’s Park in the city as part of the CSR initiative.
