Doha: Access to and knowledge of some of the world’s latest and famous apps have been made simple, easy and more interactive with Vodafone’s Apps Corner.
Launched at Vodafone Qatar’s stores at Villaggio, City Center Mall, Landmark Mall and online (at www.vodafone.qa/AppsCorner), Apps Corner is a digital zone that gives customers chance to get acquainted with five apps recommended to try every month or essential apps they can install on their new phones.
It also provides a user guide for each apps stores, including Google Play, The App Store, BlackBerry World and Windows Store.
The guide makes it easy for customers new to a specific mobile operating system so that they can be familiar with the store and get simple steps of how to create accounts, link payment methods to their accounts, download Apps and more.
Jonathan Donovan, Head of Online, Vodafone Qatar, said: “Apps Corner underlines the company’s position as a tech leader committed to making technology content in English and Arabic easily available to all.
“Qatar’s smartphones and tablet penetration is the highest in the world. Owners are continuously looking for newer ways to further enjoy their handsets and gadgets or introduce more efficiency, perhaps, into their lifestyles.

We’ve also made sure to make it available online so that people can access it anytime anywhere; so if it’s Sports App, Health App, Fashion App or News App they’re looking for, we have made it ready at arm’s reach.”
At Apps Corner, customers will learn about essential apps any smartphone user will need to install on their phone to access basic services over mobile such as social media apps, Google Maps, WhatsApp, QR Code Readers, Language Apps and others.
Customers walking into any of Vodafone stores at Villaggio, City Center or Landmark, will also learn about the new five apps Vodafone innovation team is recommending.
