DOHA: As part of its community service and social solidarity initiatives, Ezdan Holding Group participated in the ‘Warm Winter’ campaign (Shtahom Dafa), organised by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.
The campaign involved the distribution of warm clothing and supplies to about 7,500 workers.
Nasser Mohammed Al Abdulla, Deputy CEO, Ezdan Holding Group, visited Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Al Sayed, Director, Doha Municipality, to confirm the Group’s readiness and eagerness to be part of such initiatives.
Al Sayed said the campaign is a national social contribution in the context of the ministry’s strategic vision to meet the needs of all community members and provide a decent life for them, especially workers who are one of the indispensable building blocks of society and necessary partner in achieving economic prosperity.
He expressed gratitude to the Group for its keenness to participate in such charitable initiatives and said it reinforces the Group’s role in the community and helps achieve its social responsibility objectives.
He praised Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Group, for support to the initiative and keenness to achieve its goals.
Al Abdulla stressed that national companies should support social solidarity foundations through charitable initiatives and care for workers and other segments of society. He said the Group will continue to work to hold more charity events to serve the community and the advancement of the country.
