Doha: The Radiation and Chemical Protection Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) in Qatar has issued a warning against allowing unlicensed individuals in vehicles designated for transporting radioactive sources.
The MoECC advised against this action to avoid the ensuing legal accountability.
According to the National Cancer Institute in the US, high-energy radiation such as x-rays, gamma rays, alpha particles, beta particles, and neutrons, can damage DNA and cause cancer.
