Washington: Tiger Woods will miss the first major golf championship of the year, announcing Friday that he is "not tournament ready" to play the Masters.

Woods, whose 14 major titles include four Masters green jackets, has not played since withdrawing form last mont's Dubai Desert Classic with ongoing back spasms. He made his comeback in December after missing all of the 2015-16 season following back surgery.
