DOHA: The General Services Department at Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation ‘Kahramaa’ received an ISO certification (ISO:9001/2008) recently.
The ISO certifications cover all functions of the department. Evaluation proved that all procedures, instructions, and policy at the department go in line with QMS in terms of customer orientation, leadership and employee participation, and quality improvement. The earned achievement has added a new dimension in ‘Kahramaa’ recognitions and appreciations across the world. The certification was awarded by TUV SUD having audited the system and performance of the department successfully. ‘Kahramaa’ has a plan to be an ISO certified Corporation after completing the requirements of Quality Management Systems at all departments. Ten other Departments have attained ISO after complying with all requirements of QMS.
