Doha: Aspire Academy welcomed 66 new sporting talents during a special scholarship meeting, as the next intake of the Academy’s student-athletes programme.
The meeting provided students and their parents with the opportunity to learn more about what to expect during their time at Aspire Academy, and address any questions they may have.
Ali Salem Afaifa, Deputy Director General of Aspire Academy, greeted the students and their parents during his opening remarks, explaining how Aspire Academy is proud to welcome such promising and talented individuals for the forthcoming 2016-2017 academic year.
He added: “Aspire Academy’s students receive the utmost care from all of our staff who are wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting their educational, athletic and technical, academic, and behavioural development.
We aim to provide a world-class educational experience at Aspire Academy, and our faculty collaborate fully with parents and sports federations in delivering it.”

The Academy will provide a unique experience for students during their time there. In addition to the athletic and academic benefits, the support they receive is designed to enrich their personal growth, develop their character and teach them independence. During their time at the Academy, the student-athletes benefit considerably from interacting with their peers and teachers. The Aspire Academy’s teaching faculty also engages in continuous dialogue and collaboration with parents to enhance the performance of the student-athletes, whether they decide to pursue a career in sports or otherwise.
During the meeting, the Academy also organised a panel discussion in which Academy officials explained all aspects of the world-class educational and athletic services on offer, and outlined the personalised care students could expect to receive.
A second panel discussion featured current and former Aspire Academy students, who described their experiences at the Academy.
Such meetings support Aspire Academy’s ongoing efforts to provide a world-class educational experience for its student-athletes, encouraging them to realise their full academic and athletic potential.
