Doha: The Ministry of Municipality announced the closure of a factory for altering expiry dates of foodstuffs.
The Al Rayyan Municipality had seized the facility for committing commercial fraud by extending the validity of bottled juices, said the Ministry on its Twitter handle.
The move is part of the Municipality's inspection campaigns carried out by the Health Control Department in the medium and light industries.
Legal action has been taken against the violator, as the Ministry has stressed that it would not tolerate any negligence in terms of meeting obligations on Consumer Protection law and regulations.
