Qatar’s Youssef Abdulaziz, Mohammed Abdullah, Mohammed Mousa and Samir Mousa celebrate winning the silver medal in the 4×400m relay race at the Asian Youth Championships in Hong Kong. The quartet clocked a new Qatari time of 3:05.06. In other key performances, Qatar’s Faisal Abdullah also won silver medal in the 400m hurdles, Hamad Daawi Al-Sultan bagged a bronze medal in the discus throw while Abdullah al-Ibadullah clinched a bronze in the pole vault competition. Ibadullah recorded a new personal best and secured a qualification for the World Youth Championships to be held in Oregon in the US from August 5 to 9, 2026. Qatar’s medal tally in Hong Kong reached double figures, with three gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
