DOHA: Summer camp for children studying in class KG-I to VIII kicked off at the Birla Public School.
“The weeks ahead are filled with fun and entertainment and all of you are going to gain great knowledge and skills through the camp days. It is as if you were taking a sugar coated vitamin pill. Sugar coating will melt away in the mouth, but real absorption and assimilation of vitamins will take place later on,” said Lukose K Chacko, chairman, Board of directors and chief guest, while addressing students at the inaugural of the camp at the Birla Public School.
The activities in the camp include art, craft, dance, painting, public speaking, sports, games, swimming lessons, yoga, dumb charade, mimicry and literary skills and value instruction.
The students are grouped into two categories which are further decided into Butterfly, Caterpillars, Dragonfly, Beetle, Parrots, Doves, Honeybees and Ladybird.
The six weeks programme will conclude on August 13 with presentations on two occasions - one during the middle of the camp and the other at the end.
