San Francisco: Microsoft and Nvidia were among a host of investors who took a stake in AI company Inflection AI.
The company raised a total $1.3 billion in the funding round. Other investors included Bill Gates and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
The company said in a statement to the press that it is building the largest AI cluster in the world comprising 22,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs. That should help it build an AI agent that could help customers with all sorts of requests similar to ChatGPT, but will also offer voice conversations.
"In just over a year, Inflection AI has developed one of the most sophisticated large language models in the market to enable people to interact with Pi, your Personal AI (pi.ai), in the most simple, natural way and receive fast, relevant and helpful information and advice," the company said.
Large language models (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence that trains its models to read and write using large amounts text of data. The end product should be able to interact with users via text, and according to Inflection AI through voice as well, and answer queries they might have. (QNA)
