Allowances of prosecutors, judges raised

DOHA: Qatari judges, assistant judges and Qatari members of public prosecution, including assistant public prosecutors will now get huge allowances amounting to 120 percent of their monthly salaries.

The government has, effective from yesterday, raised the allowances, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported yesterday.

The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Emiri decisions No 80 and 81 of 2013 for increasing the allowance of Qatari judges, their assistants, members of the public prosecutors and their assistants 120 percent of the salary without upper limit. 

Their existing allowances were 60 percent of the salary without any upper limit.
