Qatar Exchange index gains 11.87 points this week

DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained 11.87 points or 0.12 percent this week when trading closed at 9,706.57 points Thursday afternoon.

The trading value this week of QR 1,438,240,403.49 is an increase by 6.32 percent compared to QR 1,352,715,750.12 registered last week.

The trading volume of 33,328,186 shares is an increase by 16.23 percent compared to 28,673,445 shares while the 15,110 transactions is a drop by 9.52 percent compared to 16,699 transactions last week.

The market capitalization of QR 533,702,660,297.63 is an increase by 0.33 percent compared to QR 531,962,322,605.67 at the end of previous week.

Banks and financial services led the traded value this week with 33.66 percent of the total traded value.

Real estate accounted for 23.68 percent.

Industries accounted for 22.44 percent and insurance accounted for 7.21 percent.

Real estate led the traded volume this week with 44.33 percent of the total traded volume.

Banks and financial services accounted for 28.32 percent.

Industries accounted for 9.70 percent and insurance accounted for 5.42 percent.

Banks and financial services led the number of transactions this week with 35.46 percent of the total number of transactions.

Industries accounted for 20.25 percent. Real estate accounted for 19.60 percent and consumer goods and services accounted for 6.87 percent.

From the 42 listed companies 11 ended this week higher while 27 fell and four remained unchanged.

United Development Company led the traded value this week with 18.82 percent of the total traded value.

Industries Qatar accounted for 16.83 percent and Doha Bank accounted for 7.51 percent. (QNA)
