Gaza City: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has provided hospitals in Gaza emergency medicines to help them overcome an acute shortage of medical supplies during the ongoing Israeli military offensive.
Qatar Emergency Relief Fund donated QR2m to import urgently needed medicines for Gaza’s hospitals, including seven varieties of essential medicines totalling 40,300 pharmaceutical packages.
This aid will contribute to raising the capacity of five major hospitals to respond to the current emergency situation and save thousands of life.
Dr Akram Nassar, director of the QRC office, said that the aid will help meet injured Palestinians’ urgent need for medical care.
