New Delhi: The Supreme Court yesterday cleared the deck for shifting Sahara chief Subrata Roy to a make-shift jail in conference hall at the Tihar Jail complex to facilitate him to negotiate the sale of his properties in India and abroad.
The court allowed the Delhi government to issue notification designating the hall as a jail by August 4 where Roy and his two other directors will be shifted on August 5 to enable him to raise Rs10,000 crore to make part payment of the investors money raised in 2008-09.
