Umm Salal gear up for season with six new signings

During a press conference held on Sunday, Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Umm Salal revealed their new signings ahead of the start of the football season.
The new signings include Moroccan star Adil Rhaili who was present at the occasion.
Rhaili is a centre-back who previously played for Kuwaiti Premiere League side Al Kuwait. Umm Salal now have three confirmed professional players for the new season, with Rhaili joining Ivorian striker Yannick Sagbo and Syrian attacker Mahmoud Al Mawas in the side.
Along with Rhaili, there were five local players announced as well, including Maher Yousef from Al Wakrah, Mustafa Abdi from Al Gharafa, Basil Zaidan from Muaither, Khalid Zakiba from Al Rayyan and Rami Fayes from El Jaish.
The players will join the Umm Salal squad which will  travel Netherlands where they will hold a pre-season training camp. The Dutch camp will start on August 10 and the team will return to Qatar on August 27.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Qatar SC have mapped out their pre-season training camp which will take place in Slovenia. The Kings have confirmed that they will be involved in friendly matches while at the camp.
The club yesterday announced that the friendly matches are scheduled for August 13, 15, 22, 23 and 28.
Gabriel Calderon’s men are currently training in Doha and played a friendly match against Muaither which ended in a 2-2 on Thursday.
The team will now travel to Slovenia from August 9 to 29.
