DOHA: The 10th edition of the ‘Annual HSE Forum in Energy’, which is to be held here from November 3-5, has drawn strong support from key organisations both from public and private, said a statement yesterday.
The importance of health, safety and environment (HSE), specifically in the energy sector, has encouraged key organisations to pro-actively support behind the Annual Forum.
Organised by Fleming Gulf — organisers of market-leading summits across the GCC — the upcoming conference supported exhibition is scheduled to take place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
“Workforce, capital, government policies and brand image are the four main reasons why all parties must take responsibility for health, safety and environment concerns, particularly in a high risk workplace as the oil, gas and energy sector,” said John Paul, Business Development Director at Fleming Gulf FZE.
“The fast-paced and rapid development in the global economy as well as in the State of Qatar, have provided the impetus for every HSE stakeholder to act together and improve standards, protect lives and prevent unnecessary injury in workplaces.
“For this reason, we are extremely grateful and honored to have the backing of key international HSE bodies and regulators, as well as the partnership and sponsorship of key business organisations that have huge roles to play in further enhancing HSE standards and policies,” he added.
“As the event draws closer, we hope that more public and private institutions and business enterprises will jump in and work closely together to help fulfill this year’s event objectives under the main theme of ‘Reinventing HSE DNA’.”
Petrotechnics, the event’s Strategic Partner, is a scalable solutions and tools provider that empowers organisations in hazardous industries — from the boardroom to the frontline — to proactively manage the organisation to a less risky and more optimised performance.

The event’s two Gold Sponsors are Chemsafe – one of the best independent consultancy companies in Europe for registration of Agrochemicals, Biocides, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Pharmaceutical products – and Cresent – a Control of Work provider for oil and gas operations around the world.
Meanwhile, Qatar Petroleum, which together with the Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, have established the Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College (RLESC) to deliver professional Emergency, Safety and HSE training courses in Qatar and the region, is the event’s Silver Sponsor.
