ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has directed the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to launch the Federal Women’s University in Islamabad in September.
The federal minister issued these and many other directives to accelerate work on projects approved in the last budget in a review meeting for the establishment of Federal Women’s University, National Skills University and Seerat Chairs in universities across Pakistan held at HEC head office on Saturday.
Federal Minister for Planning Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal chaired the meeting. Minister for Federal Education and Training Baleegh-Ur-Rahman and HEC Chairman Professor Dr Mukhtar Ahmed were present on the occasion.
Commenting on presentation of upgradation of Islamabad’s Federal Women College, F-7/2, to Federal Women’s University, he hoped that all formalities should be completed in September.
