Qatar-India air bubble agreement extended for September

Doha: Air bubble agreement between Qatar and India has been extended for September 2021, Indian Embassy in Qatar said.

In a Tweet the embassy further thanked civil aviation authorities of India and Qatar for ensuring that direct air connectivity for passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

India had stopped international flights after the spread of Covid-19 and operates flights to different countries on case to case basis.

The Indian government had extended the ban on international commercial flights till 30 September, the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a circular recently.

Dedicated cargo flights, flights under the bilateral air bubble pacts with select countries will continue to operate, the Indian watchdog said.
