Doha, Qatar: Aspire Academy successfully concluded its International Fencing Camp 2026, bringing together 66 athletes and coaches from seven countries for an intensive week of training, competition and knowledge exchange.
Held from August 23 to 29, the camp gathered participants from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Greece, Thailand and Argentina. The programme featured 12 sessions totalling 36 hours of training and was supported by a coaching staff of 16. Athletes competed across under-17, under-20 and senior age groups.
According to Aspire Academy, the camp aimed to prepare fencers for the new sports season and the upcoming Asian Games while strengthening fencing across the region. Key objectives included showcasing Qatar’s progress in the sport, sharing expertise with international partners and providing participants with valuable competitive experience.
The event took place at Aspire Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities, where athletes engaged in rigorous drills, sparring sessions and technical development under the guidance of local and visiting coaches. Group photographs released by the academy show large contingents of young fencers in full kit, reflecting the scale and energy of the gathering.
