Doha: The Arab Centre for Research and Policy is holding a conference on ‘Islamists and Democratic Governance …Experiences and Trends’. The conference will continue for three days from October 6 to 8 at the Doha Sheraton.
The research papers that are to be presented at this conference are prepared by experts and cover aspects related to the status of the Islamist movements such as issues such like governance, citizenship and democracy.
The conference will have 10 sessions, three lectures, and three dialogue and discussion sessions on ‘Islamists and Democratic Change’. The opening session will host Dr Azmi Beshara, who will speak on ‘religion and Democracy’. The Peninsula
