Doha: Mannai Corporation and its employees have extended help to Gaza through a donation of QR100,000 to Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The contribution was received by Saad Shaheen M M Al Kaabi, Director of Resources Mobilization and Investment, Qatar Red Crescent, during a meeting held at Mannai Corporation’s head office.
Mannai’s contribution to QRCS will be utilised to deliver medicines and medical consumables and hospital equipment to Gaza hospitals.
The contribution will also help equip specialised medical teams and meet other needs in Gaza.
“Mannai Corporation and its employees are pleased to hand over this contribution to support rebuilding Gaza. Programmes such as humanitarian missions are a fundamental part of the way we live our values, The Mannai Way” said Mohamed Mahmoud, General Manager-Human Resources, Mannai Corporation.
Doha: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ organised a blood donation campaign on Monday in coordination with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as part of its efforts to participate in community initiatives, especially those that have an impact on peoples’ life.
The campaign witnessed wide participation by Ashghal’s employees, who gathered in large numbers to donate blood in recognition of the importance of the initiative. The campaign is scheduled to be held again next month to accommodate more employees who wished to donate but could not due to time constraints.
Commenting on the event, Ashghal’s Public Relations and Communications Manager, Abdulla Saad Aman Al Saad, said: “Ashghal is always keen to participate in community events, especially voluntary initiatives that positively impact society and encourage individuals to participate and fulfil their humanitarian duty towards the community.”
