DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained slightly by 30.24 points (0.22 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 13,758.55 points here Wednesday.
The trading value dropped to QR 613.628 million from QR 811.267 million registered Tuesday.
The trading volume declined to 15,300,332 shares from 5,869 transactions compared to 23,160,257 shares from 7,617 transactions on Tuesday.
The market capitalization increased to QR 738.511 billion from QR 736.069 billion registered Tuesday.
Industries index gained the most today, up 0.81 percent to 4,583.83 points. Consumer goods and services index was up 0.61 percent to 7,551.64 points while insurance was up 0.52 percent to 4,084.07 points.
Real estate shares took a beating, down 0.95 percent to 2,832.46 points while transport went down 0.42 percent to 2,310.53 points.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 19 gained, 16 ended lower and six remained unchanged. (QNA)
