Doha, Qatar: Qatar Tourism (QT) participated in the Third Arab Forum on Tourism Statistics, held in Baghdad, from September 21–23, 2025. The Forum brought together senior officials and experts from across the Arab world, alongside representatives of regional and international organisations. The forum was also attended by His Excellency Sultan Al Kubaisi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Iraq.

The State of Qatar was represented by a delegation from Qatar Tourism, led by Chief of Tourism Development at Qatar Tourism Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber who delivered a presentation titled “Data Integration and Automation for Business Intelligence in the Tourism Sector.”

During his presentation, Al Jaber outlined Qatar Tourism’s efforts to advance data integration and automation through the creation of a centralised institutional data hub, delivering high-quality, real-time information across departments and business units. He also introduced an advanced business intelligence platform built on this system, which provides accurate insights to support informed decision-making, foster sector growth, and strengthen the competitiveness of Qatar’s tourism industry.

The initiative currently integrates a wide range of data sources, including visitor arrivals, accommodation performance, cruise and charter flight statistics, visitor experience surveys, airline and airport data, as well as performance indicators from digital and marketing campaigns.

Qatar Tourism’s participation in the Forum provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge and expertise with regional counterparts, while showcasing the country’s advancements in digital transformation. It further underscored Qatar’s position as a leading global tourism destination with cutting-edge capabilities in data management and analysis.
