Hundreds of runners took part in the second edition of the Aspire International 6:50 Race yesterday at Aspire Zone.
One of the popular events in Qatar’s sports calendar, the run involved completing 10 laps of a 5km track at the Aspire Zone grounds in less than six hours. There was a relay option for teams of five.
The highlight of the race was the 10th International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) 50km World Trophy Final, which featured 40 of the world’s finest ultra-long distance runners. This was the first time IAU had brought such an event to the GCC.
