Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has returned to Doha after an official visit to the United Kingdom. The Emir was accompanied by an official delegation.
DOHA: Part of Al Wakra jetty has collapsed and curved into the sea, making it increasingly risky for fishermen and other people visiting the port.
The jetty collapsed mainly because of neglect and lack of maintenance, reported the local Arabic daily Al Raya. Fishermen said they were afraid to return to the port and urged authorities to carry out urgent maintenance work to restore the port’s heritage and enable them to return to work.
