DOHA: Inspectors from municipalities took part in a training course conducted by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.
It aimed to teach them new models used in inspections to identify violations and guide violators to rectify their status, reports Al Sharq.
The officials visited markets to monitor hawkers and were briefed on violations, including  not carrying a licence, vending explosives like fireworks, food stuffs and beverages and selling near schools or shops dealing in same products.
Inspectors were also given tips on monitoring shops and violations such as displaying goods on shelves outside, on sidewalks,  near the doors or in public places without civic approval.
The course was part of the ministry’s strategy to round up violators and implement stricter penalties. The Peninsula
