Doha: The Director of the Doha Centre for Media Freedom (DCMF), Jan Keulen, has been released from his position, Al Sharq reported yesterday. The Arabic daily said that DCMF is now looking for a replacement for Keulan, who took charge of the Centre in April 2011.
An official from DCMF told this newspaper last evening that Keulen was still in Doha and that details about the changes in the administration would be released today.
The board of governors of DCMF is administered by 12 prominent media figures, according to DCMF website. The Centre also has an Advisory Council comprising 10 people, including political figures, human rights activists, academics and journalists.
