Officials at the Qatar Petroleum 20th biannual Drilling Managers Coordination Meeting.
DOHA: Qatar Petroleum (QP) recently hosted the 20th biannual Drilling Managers Coordination Meeting (DMCM) to promote knowledge sharing on latest technologies and information management among operators within the drilling industry in Qatar.
The event, held on November 27, was chaired by Talib Abdulla Al Mehana Al Murri, Operations Manager-Drilling at QP, a statement said yesterday.
It was attended by all leading operators from the oil and gas industry in Qatar and discussed on host of issues related to drilling activities, including practicing highest safety standards and production optimisation.
The DMCM focused on the progress of operators, their future plans, as well as the lessons learned and the changing trends in the drilling industry in terms of new technology developments.
Al Murri emphasised that it was important for the participants to share their knowledge among all operators so that they would mutually benefit from the lessons learned in their operations.
