Doha: The World Scholar’s Cup is an international team academic tournament bringing together students from over forty different countries, allowing them to discuss issues and ideas relevant to today and the future. The Tournament of Champions, held from November 21 to 24 at Yale University, Connecticut, USA, is the culmination of the year-long World Scholar’s Cup competition, which this year saw over 400 teams competing for places.
Following their successful participation in rounds in Abu Dhabi, Doha and Singapore, winning 45 medals and 5 trophies in total, two ISL Qatar students, Rhea Arora and Saidatul Zahidah Zairin, performed exceptionally well last week in Yate and came first in the Scholar’s Bowl team competition and third in the overall team competition.
Their outstanding performance is yet another successful story for the International School of London Qatar and the country as a whole, as these two girls’ exceptional achievement contributes to further enhance the international image of Qatar and its vibrant academic environment.
