DOHA: Qatar Airways and the Zurich Tourism Board recently hosted a workshop for key travel agents and tour operators in the region, to present Zurich as a top tourist destination. More than 80 travel agents and tour operators attended the event held at the Oryx Rotana Hotel.
Ehab Amin, Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Commercial – Qatar said “Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, followed by Geneva, and Qatar Airways is proud to serve both of these destinations with daily services direct from Doha. Both cities offer numerous opportunities for visitors to explore and learn about Swiss life and culture, while being surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in the world.”
Paolo Lunardi, Area Manager said: “We are determined to increase our presence in the Middle East, and to achieve this we will carry out several promotional actions throughout 2014-15. We will increase our ties with professionals from the industry by strengthening our cooperation with airlines and tour operators.
