DOHA: Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) commemorated Iqbal Day with great passion, respect, and national pride across all its wings, paying tribute to the Poet of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal — the visionary whose philosophy and intellectual legacy laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan.
The celebration engaged students from the Kindergarten, Primary, Girls’, Boys’, and Cambridge Wings in a diverse range of meaningful and creative activities.
These included poster-making, poetry enactments, tableaux, character impersonation, thought-provoking speeches in English and Urdu, and powerful recitations of Iqbal’s inspirational verses. Each performance beautifully echoed Iqbal’s message of Khudi (self-realization), faith, courage, and the vital role of youth in shaping the future.
To further deepen students’ understanding of Allama Iqbal’s literary contributions and his philosophy regarding youth empowerment and national development, interactive in-class quizzes were organized. These activities encouraged students to explore his poetry, reflect on his vision, and connect his timeless teachings to modern-day realities. The purpose of the event was to nurture creativity, instill patriotic values, and inspire students to embody Iqbal’s ideals of self-awareness, character-building, and service to the nation.
