DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality took part in the Third GCC Municipal Week, hosted by Kuwait from November 23 to 27 2025, with a delegation led by Eng. Jamal Matar Al-Nuaimi, Director General of Doha Municipality. During the event, Doha Municipality presented a paper titled “Issuing Building Permits Using Artificial Intelligence,” outlining Qatar’s efforts to integrate advanced digital solutions into municipal services.
The delegation also joined a series of specialised workshops that explored guidelines for solar energy use, waterfront development strategies, the protection of architectural heritage, the classification of consulting offices, community engagement in municipal planning, and the national master plan and urban code. Qatar’s participation underscored its commitment to innovation, regional collaboration, and the continuous development of municipal practices across the GCC.
