DOHA: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is seeking to recruit more than 70 Qataris to various positions.

In line with the organisation’s commitment to training and hiring capable Qataris, the Human Resources Directorate is looking for qualified candidates to work in various fields, including information technology, marketing, teaching and engineering.

The deadline to apply for the jobs is today and Qatari nationals should email their resumes to qatari@qf.org.qa.

“We are determined to build a qualified workforce by recruiting new talent, and we encourage both recent graduates and more skilled job seekers to consider the many career opportunities that are on offer at Qatar Foundation,” said Hassan Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Human Resources Directorate.

“We invest heavily in our human capital by providing Qataris with professional training programmes to help them progress in their chosen fields, and contribute substantially to their country’s expanding knowledge economy.”

Employment is open to Qataris with varying skill sets, from entry-level graduates to more experienced professionals. Younger applicants have been urged to apply for internships and entry-level positions in order to develop the necessary expertise for the job market. The human resources department will also be reviewing CVs submitted during Qatar Career Fair in 2012 and those submitted through the Foundation’s website.

Qatar Foundation will invite the short-listed candidates to attend its Recruitment Open Day, which will be held on January 28, 2013 at the Foundation’s Student Centre. During the day-long event, Qataris will be given a chance to meet with employers and network with other key personnel. Representatives from the education, science and community development divisions will also be readily available to answer queries.

Qualified applicants are likely to receive full-time employment offers and will be given a presentation to brief them about Qatar Foundation’s numerous initiatives.
