Firefighters douse water to put out a raging fire that engulfed around 2,000 houses in Quezon city in Metro Manila yesterday. At least eight people, including a seven-year-old child, died and thousands became homeless after fires broke out in different parts of Metro Manila as the New Year kicked off.
