Mogadishu, January 02 (QNA) - Seven Somali troops were killed Friday in an attack by Al Shabab militants on a government military base near Baidoa, a town northwest of the capital, Mogadishu.
The government forces fought back and killed three militants, a military source said. Al Shabab movement has been involved in attacks on government and African Union troops in Somalia.
