Doha: The Management of the Museum of Islamic Arts (MIA) in association with Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) and the Embassy of India have decided to felicitate some of the long-term NRI businessmen in Qatar.

This will be held during ICC’s upcoming flagship event; Indian Community Festival with the theme “Passage to India 2020” that will be held at Zone 2 and Zone 4 of the Museum of Islamic Arts Park on January 16 and 17.

MIA has asked ICC to propose names with relevant details for the felicitation on the second day of the Festival at the venue.

In a meeting held at ICC with the senior community members and the presidents of various associate organisations of ICC, a Special Working Committee (SWC) was formed with K M Varghese (who is Chairman of the Advisory Board of ICC) as its Chairman.

It was also learned that a six member committee has formulated a framework and has decided to invite applications of self-nominations/nomination by others for review and shortlisting of the candidates for recognition.
