Doha: The 6th annual Exploring Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education Conference will be taking place from today to Monday, hosted by College of the North Atlantic–Qatar in partnership with Maersk Oil Qatar.

The conference, one of Qatar’s leading events for teachers and educational administrators, will explore how technology can be adopted and applied in classrooms to enhance teaching practices and learning.

The conference will offer over 70 hands-on workshop sessions from 22 international and local experts, with the theme this year being ‘Robotics in Education’.

Keynote speakers include Dr Ethan Danahy of Tufts University, the US, and world renowned robotics expert Daniel Benedettelli from Italy, who will discuss exciting educational possibilities presented by LEGO robotics and how these can be integrated into the classroom.

Workshops will cover a range of topics including sessions on introductory and advanced robotics, Web 2.0 tools for the classroom, and authoring digital content.
