Doha: The Women’s Circle - an experience by Sheraton Grand Doha x Anahi, provides a safe and enriching environment for women to come together, share their experiences, discuss their journeys, and witness each other’s growth.
Through unique concepts and collaborations, this initiative folds under the ‘Together We’re Better’ CSR programme, inspired by Marriott’s spirit to serve the community.
Every year, International Women’s Month brings different topics around equality and empowerment to the forefront. In partnership with Dr. Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj, an award-winning author of ‘Championing Women Leaders’ and associate professor at HEC Paris Business School in Qatar, this year’s event is designed to shift the narrative, bring actionable ideas and sustainable practices to life.
The panellists who are a diverse group with a range of expertise and backgrounds will discuss their challenges and experiences of womanhood and how they have broken stereotypes, contributing to a more sustainable society.
The event will kick off with an invigorating session featuring a diverse group of both local and international speakers sharing their stories. Following this session, a panel will take place, providing participants with a platform to share their unique experiences as women from various backgrounds, as well as explore the specific challenges that women face when balancing their personal choices and navigating the demands of the world.
Ultimately, the event aims to highlight the importance flexibility and diversity in the way each woman faces their own trial and challenge existing paradigms around what women should be in order to promote a more balanced and well-rounded society.

Panellists and speakers include: Lady Kitty Chisholm: Leadership Coach, award-winning author, keynote speaker, a Ph.D. student at the Knowledge Media Institute, OU, based in the UK; Miranda Zhao: Risk Managing Director at Lloyds Banking Group, Vital Voices Leadership Council, Inclusion and Diversity lead, based in the UK;
Khadeja Albuhaliqa: Youth advisor for the Minister of Culture and Sport, UN-SDG Leader, based in Qatar. Anshu Jain: Presenter, Promoter and Curator based in Qatar; Dana Al Meer: Artist & Singer performed at the opening & closing ceremony of the biggest sports event in 2022, based in Qatar; and Dr. Sikirat Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, MD MHA: Chief Executive Officer of Sidra Medicine, a women’s and children’s hospital in Qatar. The event will be held on March 7 at Sheraton Grand Doha, Resort Garden Area, from 4:30pm to 7pm.
