Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela HE Delcy Rodríguez.
At the beginning of the call, HE the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela inquired about the situation in the State of Qatar following the Iranian aggression, affirming Venezuela's support for and solidarity with the State of Qatar in these circumstances. She also expressed her gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir for the State of Qatar's supportive stance towards the friendly Venezuelan people.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his appreciation for this stance and the sincere solidarity shown by the Venezuelan President, praising the close relations of cooperation and friendship that bind the two countries.
The two sides exchanged views on the repercussions of the current regional situation, emphasizing the necessity of halting the escalation and preserving regional and international security and stability.
