Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has stressed the importance of remaining indoors during exceptional circumstances as a key precautionary measure to safeguard public safety and reduce potential risks.

In guidelines shared on its official X platform, the Ministry stated that staying at home or inside enclosed spaces contributes significantly to protecting lives and property, while also enabling competent authorities to carry out their duties efficiently and ensure overall security and safety.

The Ministry also advised the public to remain in safe interior areas within buildings, preferably rooms away from windows and external facades, internal corridors, or basements where it's available, as these provide greater protection. It also recommended choosing areas surrounded by solid walls and away from objects that could pose a risk.

The guidelines further called on residents to avoid leaving homes or buildings except in cases of absolute necessity, refrain from staying in open or exposed areas without a valid reason, and stay clear of incident sites or locations where security vehicles and equipment are deployed.

The Ministry urged everyone to comply fully with instructions issued by the competent authorities and to follow updates exclusively through official channels, noting that limiting movement during such circumstances is a fundamental measure that enhances public safety.

Earlier, MOI announced strict warnings for the public against filming and sharing videos related to ongoing field developments in any platforms.
