Doha: Ooredoo yesterday announced the launch of Hala Smart campaign to give prepaid customers more value and data, as the company rolls out the next phase of the #OoredooSmart campaign.
Hala Smart Weekly Packs are prepaid weekly bundles and include a mixture of local and international minutes, SMS and mobile data – a full week’s communication – with a range of plans priced at QR10, QR15, QR25 and QR40.
As with the recently-updated Shahry Smart service, Ooredoo has supercharged Hala Weekly Packs, adding a ‘smart’ element for the new generation of customers who use their mobile phones for surfing the Web as much as for calls and SMS.
With the upgrade, the Hala Smart 10 and 15 packs include 60MB of Internet mobile data, a major boost from the previously available 5MB and 10MB allowance in the old packs.
The Hala Smart 25 and 40 packs include 250MB of Internet mobile data, giving customers more time than ever online.
Ooredoo estimates around one million customers are using mobile data regularly, and is transforming its product portfolio to ensure customers in Qatar enjoy full value from mobile Internet services.
Hala Smart Weekly packs also include improved out-of-bundle local calling rates, reducing the standard local calling rate from 55 dirhams to 35 per minute. This means customers can benefit from lower local calling rates after the consumption of their free minutes in the Hala Smart bundle.
To subscribe to the service, customers can send an SMS reading ‘WP [amount]’ (example ‘WP 25’ to the shortcode 121. Hala Smart Weekly packs renew automatically.
