Mowasalat officials elected to UITP

DOHA: Two senior officials of Mowasalat have been elected to key positions in the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) MENA and UITP International platform at a meeting held in Casablanca, Morocco last month.
Nasser Al Khanji, Mowasalat’s executive director for Support Services has been elected UITP MENA Large Events Vice Chairman while Eng. Ali Abdulla Bahzad, director of Mowasalat Taxi & Limousine Department has been elected UITP Taxi Vice Chairman of MENA Board and UITP International taxi platform.
Eng. Ahmed Busherbak Al Mansoori, Mowasalat’s executive director for operations had already been named as a member of the UITP International Bus Committee. Khalid Al Hail, Chief Executive Officer, Mowasalat recently became a member in UITP International water-borne transport platform.
The UITP represents 1,300 member companies giving access to over 14,000 contacts from the various fields of local, national and regional inter-city mobility from more than 92 countries across all continents.
Since its inception, the UITP is considered an expertise and knowledge hub and a place to exchange best practices and benchmarks. The UITP MENA was established with the objective of promoting awareness and culture of public transport and its growth, especially in the MENA region. Mowasalat is a member of UITP since 2004.
The Peninsula
