DOHA: The Ras Bu Aboud tunnel on Sharq Interchange leading to Hamad International Airport (HIA) will be closed tomorrow for eight hours from 3am to 11am, the Public Works Authority — Ashghal — said in a statement yesterday.
The closure is to carry out periodic inspection works of infrastructure, ventilation, lighting, electrical and control systems of the tunnel, said Ashghal.
Motorists who intend to use the carriageway to go towards HIA and Al Wakra via Ras Bu Aboud tunnel are advised to use traffic diversion down Ras Bu Aboud tunnel to go directly to Sharq Interchange and then turn left at the traffic lights.
