I hope we do not busy ourselves with internal affairs and conflicts and ignore external affairs and developments that are dangerous to the security of the region and its stability.
I also hope that our concern for external affairs will not be a reason for accepting violations, giving donations and restriction of public and private liberties.
It requires wisdom to understand the danger of Iranian expansion and the reality that will be imposed on us after any nuclear agreement between Iran and the US, which has sold its allies, who are busy with their war on the Muslim Brotherhood. They have paid billions of dollars to ensure that the movement does not return to the political arena, not even to inviting people to Islam.
They should be wise to know how to balance their concerns for external and internal affairs.
Iran, which we all believe is facing economic collapse and social disintegration, is achieving political and military victories on the ground in an undeclared war. For Iran, this war makes up for the impact of sanctions and the oil price fall on its economy.
Iran is expanding even as we live under the illusion that it is facing a predicament in Iraq and Yemen.
Iran does not face any predicament, dear readers. The ones facing a predicament are the Gulf’s Arabs, who have seen fast-paced events unfold in front of them and are still hoping that Obama will reverse his decision to sign a nuclear agreement with Iran.
When Arabs of the Gulf wake up, they will discover the bitter truth that the only important principle of American politicians is to promote their own interests for the benefit of their people.
Look at what is happening around us! What is stopping America from checking the Iranian expansion in Iraq? What is preventing America from putting an end to the persecution of Sunnis in Iraq? Why doesn’t America stop the forced displacement of Arabs in Iraq from their cities and neighbourhoods? Why does the West, under American leadership, let Iran and Hezbollah support Bashar Al Assad’s regime?
It is a matter of self-interest pursued through a bloody regime that causes half the country’s population to be displaced to neighbouring countries. Meanwhile, the regime has turned its cities and villages into ruins, where you see nothing but devastation, with the smell of chemical weapons hanging in the air.
Thus, it is all about self-interest, for which America let down its regional allies, and for which the West abandoned its principles. To be very clear, it is all about a war on moderate Islam, making use of false Muslims who are extremists to defame this religion and destroy the moderate Islamic trend.
Look at this hidden war waged by some Arab regimes on behalf of America; a war against moderate Islamic groups that present a good image of Islam and sensible religious thoughts to manage people’s affairs.
We are witnessing the removal of Islamists from their positions, replacement of moderates with those lacking information, and restriction and suppression of liberties under the pretext that it is being done before the whole world, which is not moved to stop it.
We have started hearing publicly that Palestinian resistance to the Zionist invaders is a crime punishable by law. At the same time, the Zionist state is a recognised entity.
All these things confirm that the Arabs have paved the way for the American-Iranian agreement. It is as if we are telling them to do whatever they want, even though we will be the first victims of the agreement; but that doesn’t matter.
