DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Thursday adding 80.83 points (or 0.93 percent) to advance to 8,748.68 points from 8,667.85 Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 8,073,606 from 5,945,265 on Wednesday, and the value of shares increased to QR320,894,251.62 from QR235,998,975.25 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.71 percent to QR136.50, Industries Qatar rose 1.40 percent to QR173.70, Qatar Navigation gained 1.69 percent to QR66.00 and Barwa Real Estate up by 0.21 percent to Q23.46.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.93 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.46 points.
The industrial sector was gained 0.94 points while insurance sector rose 0.88 points. (QNA)
