Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) celebrated the International Workers’ Day yesterday with its officials visiting three competition stadiums of this year’s Emir Cup.
These stadiums include Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium (Qatar Sports Club), Grand Hamad Stadium (Al Arabi Sports Club), and Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium (Al Sadd Sports Club).
During the visit, the QFA delegation distributed 500 QFA branded gifts across all three stadiums and invited the staff to take part in the most prestigious tournament of the year by attending the countless events that are organised in the lead up to the final match on May 20.
Celebrating this day highlights QFA’s different social events and initiatives that are organised to coincide alongside the championship.
May 1 is marked worldwide to recognise and value the efforts of labour workers. QFA officials were enthusiastic to interact with the stadium employees, and promote the excitement that the Emir Cup brings to all football fans.
The Emir Cup trophy tour is set to be launched today where the iconic trophy will be making its way to visit Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Kindergarten and Al Hikma International Kindergarten. The Peninsula
