Bogota: Eight people were killed when a Colombian military plane crashed in the central region of Cundinamarca on Monday, the Colombian authorities announced.
Cundinamarca's governor said the plane was heading to an air base when it crashed west of the capital Bogota.
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos expressed via Twitter his solidarity with the relatives of the victims.
The crash is being investigated by the Colombian army.
